Easy Peasy Assembly
The good news is even if you aren’t particularly crafty, you and still pull of some fun DIY student gifts with these printable pencil tags! Likewise, you don’t need very many materials or tools!
- Download the templates you want to use
- Print as many as you need (for personal use). I recommend printing on white cardstock
- Cut out along the solid lines
- Use a craft knife to make an incision across the dotted lines
- Insert your gifts (for example: pencils, markers, highlighters, crayons, etc) and you’re all set!
Also, depending on the writing utensils and quantity you use, you may need to secure them on the back with tape, or adjust the length of the incisions you make to accommodate larger/smaller items
What You Need:
I’ve included a list below of the supplies I used to create these sample photos.
- 110# white cardstock for printing
- Scissors or a paper trimmer for cutting
- Craft Knife for making incisions
Printing Tips:
To get the size just right on these, be sure to select “Actual Size” in your print settings, otherwise they may print out slightly smaller.

They’re a perfect way to commemorate guests at an event and also make great thank you gifts for teachers 😉 People add their fingerprint and sign their name on the artwork as a clever way to complete some element. By and large, fingerprint trees are the most common–fingerprints are the added as leaves on the branches. And of course I have some great options for teacher appreciation gifts, not to mention, they all feature hand drawn details!
