My kids are my test subjects for these. Admittedly, the play on words is lost on them sometimes, but boy does it make me smile when I’m packing their lunches in the morning and slipping in a TURTLEY awesome note reminding my kids that nothing is imPOPSICLE. Most afternoons I ask them what they thought of their note. It’s a great opportunity to explain the play on words if they didn’t quite catch it while they were eating their sandwich!
If you tell your kids how incredible they are every school day for 99 days, they just might start to believe it!
Printing Tips
- Print on white cardstock for nice sturdy cards that can hold up in a lunch box. I use 110# cardstock weight which works well. If you’re in a crunch, basic copy paper will do just fine 😉
- A paper trimmer can also speed up the cutting!
- Make sure your printer is set to print in portrait orientation
- Formatted to print on letter sized (8.5×11 inch) paper.
