How Does Magic Reindeer Food Work?
The instructions go a little something like this:
Sprinkle outside on Christmas Eve Night, in the moonlight it will sparkle bright. When Santa’s Reindeer fly and roam, this will guide them to your home!
Magic Reindeer Food Recipe Ideas
Grownups, please help to make this a safe activity—if you have other animals at home or in the neighborhood, leave the chocolate out. Or make it wildlife friendly and skip all the glitter and candies. If your kids have allergies, of course steer clear of any ingredients that would trigger them 😉
There’s more than one way to make Magic Reindeer Food—their favorite is the way YOU make it! Here’s a list of their favorite things…how will you combine them?
Wildlife & Pet-Friendly Ingredients:
- Old Fashioned Rolled Oats (quick cook or instant oats aren’t good for animals)
- Cheerios or other cereal
- Popcorn
- Sunflower Seeds
- Pumpkin Seeds
- Bird Seed
- Pretzels or small crackers
Other Fun Ingredients:
- Sprinkles
- Glitter
- Mini Marshmallows
- Small candies (like M&Ms)
Reindeer Food Ideas
Get the Look:
If you’re looking for some ideas on supplies, here’s what I used for my samples:
- 110# white cardstock for printing
- Twine and a hole punch for the hang tags
- Adhesive runner for the bag toppers. A stapler will work fine too.
- Standard size sandwich bags or snack bags (like Ziplock bags), or plastic-free alternative
- A paper trimmer can also speed up the cutting!
