Looking for a candy-free Valentine’s Day treat for kids?? Attach these pet tags to a plushie for a fun Valentine’s Day pet adoption!
Plus, these aren’t smothered in cooties, and they don’t imply any arrangements about future marriages, which is always nice, lol! Maybe I’m showing my age, but sweet Jesus, some of these Valentine’s Day cards marketed to kids are SO over-the-top lovie dovie, right?!
BTW, this isn’t the only fun free printable you’ll find from MeganHStudio–the VAULT is full of them!
If you just want to get to downloading and printing, I totally get it—the free printables are waiting for you towards the bottom 😉
These are free for you to download and print for your personal use. For more info about permissible use and licensing, check out all the details here.
Different Color Combinations
There are 5 different varieties along with different color combinations so you can pick the ones you like best! Each template is formatted to print on regular letter sized paper (8.5×11 inches) and should print out well regardless of how cheap your printer is!
It’s way easier than taking care of a real pet!
If you have a printer, scissors, string, and a pen, you can pull off some fun Valentines!
- Download the templates you want to use
- Print as many as you need (for personal use). I recommend printing on white cardstock (at least 65#), but regular copy paper works just fine if you’re in a bind. This is the cardstock that I like to use for these projects: Neenah 110# cardstock
- Cut out each pet tag
- Write the “to” and “from” info on the back of the tag
- Punch a hole and add twine or ribbon
- Tie around a little stuffed animal.
If you’re looking for a lead on stuffed animals, I found the set in my listings examples on Amazon here. They were cute and priced right! There is one animals the kids and I still haven’t figured out what it is yet…and the giraffe totally has moose antlers, but that just adds to the fun! Here are links to the other things I used to create my samples:
I’ve run into a few stores locally that are carrying a big pack of plush animals, but for my samples here I used these that I ordered from Amazon. They were actually cuter than I thought they might be! There is one animal that the kids and I haven’t been able to identify yet though…and the giraffe seriously has moose antlers—haha! That just adds to the fun of it 🙂

Did you know I sell stuff too?
What’s a fingerprint poster?? I’m glad you asked! They’re a perfect way to commemorate guests at an event and also make great thank you gifts for teachers 😉 People add their fingerprint and sign their name on the artwork as a clever way to complete an element. Fingerprint trees are the most common–fingerprints are the added as leaves on the branches. And of course I have lots of great options for all kinds of events and thank you gifts!
