It’s Time Lapse Time: O-FISH-ALLY the cutest

This originated from a recent request from a repeat customer who was planning a Bass-themed baby shower for her grandson. I’ve had other fish-related requests in the past, so it was definitely time to add this guy to the MeganHStudio collection!

My favorite way to draw

I used to predominantly draw with colored pencils on actual paper, and I was skeptical about digital drawing. A year after starting to draw digitally, I’m so glad I gave it a try! The equipment was a big investment, but I firmly stand by my trusty 12.9 inch iPad Pro and 2nd Generation Apple Pencil. It allows me to accomplish SO MUCH MORE and meet the needs of more customers in less time.

It’s Time Lapse Time: Birds of a Feather

Quail are adorable and make the perfect subjects for a drawing project, but it hadn’t even crossed my mind to draw them to incorporate in a fingerprint poster. Enter a friend with a mom who loves quail and a wedding anniversary coming up, and suddenly these quail happily made it onto my to-do list!

Guests at the anniversary party can add their fingerprints and sign their names as balloons—then it can be framed and added to the house decor as a cute keepsake!

Check out the time lapse below! You might notice that I didn’t just draw one, then copy it and flip it. For things like this, I think a it’s best to that each quail has it’s own little nuances, don’t you??

It’s Time Lapse Time: SomeBUNNY Loves You

My daughter has a bunny named Fireball who is the cutest, orange French Lop bunny you’ve ever seen. Naturally for her 9th birthday party she went with a bunny theme and I worked on attempting to draw Fireball to feature on her invitations and fingerprint poster.

It honestly didn’t even cross my mind to put this drawing up in my shop, but last week I got a request from a customer who was planning a bunny themed nursery for her son and luckily I had JUST the thing!

So I figured we might as well try to make Fireball famous! You can find him in the time lapse below along with in my shop 😉

It’s Time Lapse Time: One Cool Cat

I have a lot of favorite customers, but my kids are definitely my top 3 favs — every year we have fun deciding on a theme for their upcoming birthdays and putting together fun invites and fingerprint posters. My son recently turned 7 and he spent months before his party debating what theme to go with. Sonic, Mario…Sonic AND Mario, Metal Sonic…at the last minute he threw us all for a curve and decided to go with a Bobcat theme since that’s his favorite animal.

So we went with a “one cool cat” theme and had fun with bobcats in sunglasses! Here’s the time lapse of the bobcat drawing.

Every once in awhile, my kids pick a theme that results in something with mass appeal that I can also offer to other customers, but mostly…not! One year my oldest daughter decided on a jaguar/pelican/parrot theme…you can bet THAT design isn’t in big demand!
