What is a Fingerprint Poster??

Well I’m glad you asked! A fingerprint poster is an alternative to a traditional guestbook for events like birthdays, baby showers, and weddings. They’re great for thank you gifts to. I also have signature posters if you don’t want to have to deal with fingerprints 😉

Guests add their fingerprint and sign their name as a clever way to complete the picture. Then you can frame it and add it to the room decor as a keepsake of the day! Fingerprint trees are probably the most common (guests add their fingerprints as leaves), but the possibilities are endless—fingerprints can represent balloons, spots on a giraffe, flower petals, or fill in a pineapple.

Baby Sprinkle Theme Ideas

Babies come with so…much…STUFF! Especially the first one since you don’t know exactly what you’ll need and use. If you’re welcoming a second or third baby soon, they get to benefit from all the cribs, clothes, changing pads and burp cloths that you still have, so sometimes a full baby shower isn’t necessary! A “Baby Sprinkle” is a fun idea that allows guests to focus on the necessities and other fun details to welcome baby: diapers, wipes, personalized gifts, and nursery decor.

It’s Time Lapse Time: A Couple Cute Pups!

This week we have a Boston Terrier and a Pit Bull that are ready to welcome their new little brother or sister (of the human variety, or course).

This pair will be a fun part of the baby shower since they’re featured on the fingerprint tree. Friends and family will add their fingerprint and sign their name as leaves on the tree—then it can be added to the baby’s nursery decor as a cute keepsake!

I’m so grateful to have customers who trust me to draw their pets. I’m definitely not a trained pet portrait artist, but I love putting my style own style on these fur babies! Check out the time lapse below to see how I drew these two characters 😉

What is a Signature Poster??

Well I’m glad you asked! A signature poster is an alternative to a traditional guestbook for events like birthdays, baby showers, and weddings.

It’s Time Lapse Time: SomeBUNNY Loves You

My daughter has a bunny named Fireball who is the cutest, orange French Lop bunny you’ve ever seen. Naturally for her 9th birthday party she went with a bunny theme and I worked on attempting to draw Fireball to feature on her invitations and fingerprint poster.

It honestly didn’t even cross my mind to put this drawing up in my shop, but last week I got a request from a customer who was planning a bunny themed nursery for her son and luckily I had JUST the thing!

So I figured we might as well try to make Fireball famous! You can find him in the time lapse below along with in my shop 😉

It can be tough to be pregnant in the heat of the summer, but what a great time to have a baby shower! The “Baby-Q” theme practically completes itself: buffalo check table cloths, mason jar centerpieces, and of course, BBQ for food. A Fun Way for Guests to Leave an Impression 😉

If you know me, I’m sure you know I’m unashamedly biased on this one, but you need a fingerprint poster at your Baby-Q. How many times are you going to experience this in your life?? ONCE! It’s Time Lapse Time: Out of this World!

Today’s time lapse is astronomical! One of my return customers (that I am so thankful for!) came with a request for an astronaut with stars for guests to sign at a birthday party. The perfect keepsake! This time lapse walks you through part of the creative process. When you draw digitally, you get to test out different mediums…this one started with watercolor, and quickly went to a scratchy pencil look instead for some more defined shadowing and details on this space suit.

You can find this astronaut as an art print or a guestbook alternative in my shop! Customizable text and colors!

It’s Time Lapse Time: This Pup’s Whole World is about to Change!

I’ve been drawing lots of pups lately! This week’s time lapse is a sweet Pit Bull mix who loves to chew on deer antlers and she is ready for the gender reveal party to figure out if she’s getting a little brother or sister.

She’s part of a fingerprint guestbook where guests will add either a pink or blue fingerprint to guess the gender of the baby. Then it can be framed and added to the nursery decor as a keepsake!

This customer actually came to me a few years ago for a custom fingerprint poster for her friend, and now it’s her turn! I love that I get to walk along side my customers and see how their families grow!

I’m sure you can tell, I’m definitely not a professional pet portrait artist, but I’ve got a simple style all my own 😉
